Leisa Holland-Nelson is Co-founder/President/CMO of ContentActive, Houston’s leading Web and Mobile Technology Co. She is responsible for Marketing, Business Development and HR. She is also the author and voice of “Women Mean Busine$$”, a weekly segment focusing on extraordinary women, on The Businessmakers Show seen on-line and heard on 20 radio stations across the U.S.; over 20,000 0f her interviews have been downloaded over the past four years. She also speaks publicly on many topics including, Fashion, Leadership, Networking and “Doing well by doing Good”.
Leisa works tirelessly for many Houston non-profits, over twenty, in the business and community space, focusing her efforts on Women, Wellness and Education…including serving as Board Chair for the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce for two terms, serving on the Executive Committee for the Greater Houston Partnership’s Executive Women’s Partnership, serving as Vice Chair of the Board for the American Leadership Forum, Co-chairing the Mayor’s Breakfast for Literacy for the last 5 years and Co-chairing the inaugural Red Cross luncheon in May 2015. She currently holds a Board Leadership position with 4 of Houston’s colleges, Rice University, University of Houston, St. Thomas University and Houston Community College, the Holocaust Museum Houston, Hermann Park Conservancy and is the Chair of the 2016 Open Your Heart Campaign for the American Red Cross.
Leisa was honored to be named one of Houston’s Fifty Most Influential Women, a Sr. fellow of American Leadership Forum, a Mass Mutual Most Powerful Woman, a Houston Technology Center Celebrated Entrepreneur, an ABC-TV 2015 Woman of Distinction and especially to receive the 2016 Animeals Champion Award. She, her mother and her daughter are being honored in September with the Mary Jo Peckham Award from The Assistance League for “Three Generations of Giving”.
